Pierre Burgaud, took over the estate in 2020 from his father. It was his grandfather Roger Burgaud, a farm worker, who in 1950 acquired and replanted a few plots in Côte-Rôtie, thereby founding the family estate.
In 1980 Bernard Burgaud took over the farm and decided to turn exclusively to the vine. He developed the surface by replanting wastelands and for 40 years perfected the cultivation technique (grassing the soil among others), and vinification by modernizing the winery.
