"Les Vignes de Mon Père is Jean-Francois Ganevat’s most coveted wine. Luis Gutierrez sums it up nicely: “A truly world class white ... an eternal wine, the problem is availability“.
From Savagnin vines planted in 1930, this cuvée is a special 1,000-liter selection Ganevat chose to age in large barrel for another 10 to 12 years, topping it up regularly until only 50-75 cases remained. And the 2003 Vignes de Mon Père is particularly special. Gutierrez: "Against all odds, the 2003 (a truly warm vintage) feels the freshest and more balanced, with the 2000 following close. All of them are highly recommended.” RWC
